Interiors By Design Inc. (IBD) is a small boutique design firm with a full range of design experience in both renovations and new construction, as well as in creating custom furnishings and décor. Led by award-winning designer Dennese Guadeloupe Rojas, this Silver Spring, MD–based firm works on a global scale on residential, commercial, and multi-family projects. Rojas’ team of five takes pride in a positive environment of learning together and contributing to each design. IBD is known for uniquely weaving together reflections of the client’s taste and lifestyle with upscale touches and a curated feel. A well-executed interior includes an interesting mix of layers, finishes, and textures, with underlying notes of simplicity and class. Whatever style is desired, the final result is always distinctive and timeless. Everyone has a different vision of home. To discover that exact look, the IBD team has a concierge approach to collaborating with each client to glean what they truly want out of their space. Through the design process, the designers discover how to turn a space into the client’s definition of comfort—whether that’s through a soft palette, pops of color, or a design centered around a focal art piece. The ultimate goal is to create a space that not only echoes clients and their lifestyle but also enriches their lives. We start with an extensive client review that considers how clients live and want to spend their time, as well as their personal taste and style. IBD’s goal is to build a relationship with each homeowner and their project, so that we can develop a meaningful perspective into the client’s needs and aspirations. IBD likens ourselves to artists: each member of the team has a part in taking the client’s ideas and elevating them in their own creative interpretation. Our designs envelop all who enter, inspiring them to linger and imagine.
